COAPT Risk Score

The COAPT Risk Score App is a simple risk prediction tool created by combining clinical and echocardiographic variables in patients with heart failure (HF) and moderate-to-severe or severe functional mitral regurgitation (FMR) who remain symptomatic despite maximally tolerated guideline directed medical therapy (GDMT).

The COAPT Risk Score App provides valuable prognostic information regarding the 2-year risk of death and/or heart failure hospitalization (HFH).

AngioAID 3D

AngioAID 3D is an educational tool designed to teach key concepts of diagnostic angiography of coronary arteries. Within a 3D live simulation, you begin by advancing a diagnostic guidewire into the aortic root. Then, advance one of many diagnostic catheter options to either the right of left coronary ostium.

Through pushing and pulling, as well as rotation of the catheter, try to achieve a truly co-axial engagement of the coronary ostium with the catheter. Meanwhile monitor the hemodynamic tab which simulated damping from over-engagement or roofing of the catheter tip. Finally, inject dye and take a cine to compare with the one we actually did in the cath lab for this set of coronaries.

The IVUSAID App is a free educational mobile application which has been developed to teach medical professionals how to use intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) for PCI guidance based on the current guidelines using our extensive experience and large database of complex coronary cases.

MCSAID

MCSAID is an educational app dedicated to the topic of mechanical cardiocirculatory support for patients with cardiogenic shock. A calculator is available for some common hemodynamic variables used in MCS decision-making.

A basics section introduces the definitions and classifications of cardiogenic shock as well as some of the common devices used for hemodynamic support in unstable patients. There is an algorithm for helping understand the decision process depending on key clinical variables such as cardiac output and PAPI.

GuidewireAID has a number of features valuable to new and veteran interventionalists, nurses, technicians, and industry personnel. An in-depth introduction to coronary guidewires brings users up to speed with terminology such as tip load and coatings.

A large selection of case reviews shows a variety of complex cases, and selection recommendations and an expansive wire library can help find alternative wires based on similar properties.

TAVRcathAID is an educational tool with step-by-step instructions on how to perform diagnostic coronary angiogram and percutaneous coronary intervention after implantation of a transcatheter aortic valve.

This app has been recently updated with more detailed animations, a series of case reviews, and an overhauled UI.

ComplicAID

ComplicAID is an educational website containing select cases designed to teach complications of PCI. Every case details the steps that led up to the complication, as well as key take-away points on how to manage and avoid such complications in the future.

Explore cases involving dissections, perforations, and atherectomy as well as less common complications such as longitudinal stent deformation, vasospasm, and air embolism.

It provides quick and easy access to pre-, intra-, and post-procedure guidelines, as well as contact information for all individuals associated with the Cath Lab, including attendings and fellows. The app also features calculators commonly used in the Cath Lab, such as the Hakki Valve Area calculator.
